On June 19, 2019 Sacramento Police Department Officer Tara O’Sullivan was shot. O’Sullivan was 26 years old and had graduated from the police academy in December of 2018. She was responding to a domestic violence disturbance when she was ambushed and shot. An armored vehicle was brought in to rescue her and she was transported to a local hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.
