On January 29, 2018, at 1349 hours, a member of the CHP Office of the Commissioner, Office of Equal Employment Opportunity, Officer Cabri Griffin, #20929, lost his life unexpectedly.

Officer Griffin (31) began his career with the CHP in 2007. He served the communities in Los Angeles as a Public Safety Dispatcher with the Los Angeles Communications Center for seven (7) years. After graduating the CHP Academy in August 2014, Officer Griffin was assigned to the Central Los Angeles Area. In 2017, he served in the West Los Angeles Area before reporting to his new assignment with the Office of Equal Employment Opportunity in December of 2017.

Officer Griffin is survived by his wife, mother, and two brothers.
